What is a record search? A record search is when skilled ProGenealogists's record searchers become your eyes and hands at archives throughout the world. This service is for those clients who know the exact resource or record they want to search for, but can’t get to it, or can't find it for themselves. Ordering a record search is less expensive per hour than research because genealogists don’t take the time to analyze the document for you; a record searcher simply searches what you'd like searched and then sends you the results. We have numerous clients who prefer this option because they enjoy deciding what is searched and doing the analysis themselves. Because we don’t draw conclusions from the document, the client receives the results much faster than a research session. Most record searches are completed in 7-10 business days. We can do the work faster, with RUSH rates, if you need it faster.

ProGenealogists's In-Depth Research sessions are the perfect option for you if you yearn to know about your ancestors but don’t have the time or the expertise to do the work. Our skilled and experienced genealogists can also help your, if you have hit a brick wall and need some help.

During a ProGenealogists In-Depth Research Session, our professional genealogists will ask you what your research goal is. You might want to know more about the ancestors or descendents of one of your relatives or grandparents. This is our specialty!

Our skilled experts will analyze your goal, determine the resources that will efficiently yield the best results, and get to work toward your goal. You can sit back and relax while we do all the work! You do not need to tell us which records should be searched, you just let us know your research goal and we'll tailor a research methodology to reach it.

At the end of an In-Depth Research Session, ProGenealogists's clients will receive a detailed calendar and copies of all the documents we unearthed for them. You will also receive a detailed report, which  explains the research and conclusions. This report will be full of analysis and suggestions for continued research. You'll be so pleased with the care and attention we put into every summary report for you!
