Genealogy Directory of Cemetery Lists

Cemetery Interment Lists on the Internet. Links to cemetery records on the Internet, by Steve P. Johnson.

Censuses

Census Online, Census Sites on the Web has links to tons of abstracted census records. If you need to order a census search or page from a census, check here first.

Census4all has online 1910 Census indexes for selected states that you can search for free. After you conduct a search and find someone of interest, you can purchase a digitized copy of that person's actual census page for a small fee.

Immigration

The Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild is posting online ships lists which are sorted by date, by ship's name, by port of departure, by port of arrival, and by surname. Searchable.

Libraries

The Making of America Digital Library is a digital library of records in U.S. history with over 600,000 pages of searchable pages of history, including city directories, and news articles.
The USGenWeb Archives has a search engine for querying all the data found in their archives, including vital records, land, tax, census, wills, and more.
The D.A.R. Library Card catalog is available for you to conduct keyword searches.  This is a great resource -- and if you find something in their catalog, it is possible that a copy of the film is available at the Family History Library and I'd be happy to look for and make copies of documents for you.

Regional

BLM, Eastern States, General Land Office

Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Eastern States, General Land Office. Searchable database of land certificates. This site abstracts the records, but you can also download a .TIF image of the document and print it out for your files. Great site! (This site offline as the U.S. government secures it.)
