You will find some good maps in various sites
that include Germany in various places on this site including the following:
There is a new and free web-based information-system on the
development of the German states between 1820 and 1914. It has been released in
July by two research institutions in Mainz. It is now available at
http://www.hgis-germany.de
. There is also an partly English version, you just have to click "English" in
the navigation. Unfortunately all the descriptive text is only available in
German.
Topographical
Hopefully other Historical maps of Germany will
be added later. Also check out the article on
