Genealogical and Historical Society announces its Annual Seminar to
be held Saturday, April 26, 2008, from 9am to 4pm, at the Embassy
Suites Hotel, 4914 Constitution Ave, Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Featured speakers will be Claire Mire Bettag, CG, CGL,
nationally-known genealogy speaker, author and educator based in
Washington, DC, (where she is the Director of the National Institute
for Genealogical Research at the National Archives), and authority
on French, Acadian and Louisiana Research. Also speaking will be
Augusta Elmwood, specialist in research on French Saint-Domingue and

of Palatines to America. Palatines to America is a genealogical
membership society dedicated to the study of our ancestors from all
German speaking lands; the earliest of whom came to America from the
