I am the son of Henry Barnhouse, desc. have resided in this county many years and am about 57 years old. My father formally resided in this county on land he sold to plaintiff for about $1200. My father removed to Indiana shortly after selling his land. Thomas E. Barnhouse, defendant, is a son of Henry and half brother of mine. He was born 14 November 1830. Benjamin Ice was administrator for Henry." This seems to be a from a lawsuit between Thomas & William Pritchard. Deed made Aug. 25, 1849 between Henry Barnhouse and wife, Matilda, to Thomas Barnhouse & William Pritchard, Jr: 100 acres, Chunks Run. Book 4, pg. 50.

As far as we know Andrew spent most of his adult life in Marion County, WV. He had many land deeds on record in Monongalia & Marion Counties. His will was written Jan. 14, 1885, Probated April 5, 1886. It is on record in Marion Co. WV Book 2, page 340. His estate settlement is dated March 15, 1888. The will is also recorded in Ritchie Co., West Virginia. On his second marriage Simon Barnhouse was bondsman
